April's Demo and fun Boy Sample

Hey everyone, can you tell I have had company? I really didn't leave and run away but had company for a week and just played and played. Then right before they left I hurt my back and have been down ever since. So that is why you haven't hurt much from me...sorry about that .
Well, not to confuse you any more but... my Demo's in April will be on different days that usual. Why? Because our new little grandson was born last week and I am flying out to see him in the middle of April. I am sooooooooooooooo excited!
So get your calendars out and mark Weds. April 4th from noon till 3:00 pm I will be teaching the Self Mitered Flannel Blankets and then I will teach it again on Weds. April 25th at the same time. I love these little blankets, they make the perfect gift. Scroll down and look at the other photos.

Here is the sample I did of a little Luvie or Taggie Blanket. They are just perfect for the little ones with texture and ribbons (minky is on the back ). I have all the dimensions and truck pattern for you and will pass them out in my class. If you miss it, check with Susan for the April handouts. I have a couple other new things I did today so I will send them when I can.
Take care and hope to see you on the 4th or the 25th!
Happy Easter dear friends!

Demo class tomorrow March 21st

Hey everyone, I am so sorry that I haven't been in touch lately but... life has been busy and crazy to say the least. I did want to remind you about my Demo class tomorrow from noon till 2:00pm. We are still making the Pennie Pockets as shown in previous blogs, just scroll down a little. so check your calendar and see if you can stop by and come visit with me tomorrow!
Also, I wanted to show you a cute Easter Basket that I made out of the fun Spring Fabric, we just got in. It was fun and easy to make. Just take any tote bag pattern and just scale it down. It can be made with just 2 fat quarters and a yard of rick rack ( of course ) and some batting for inside. Anyway come by and check it out.
Ok, I will hopefully see you tomorrow!
Thanks,
Lynn

Thanks as always to my dear photographer friend and her sweet model!

More Samples ...Easter Apron and Owl Taggies

Here are a couple of new Samples that I brought into the store today. The first one is an Easter Apron, don't want to forget that when you cooking bunny rolls or coloring eggs this year. I used the Fat Quarter Apron instructions, like the one we have in the store and the one I showed in my last demo class! Just two Fat Quarters and some bias tape and you are set!

Next is this fun little Owl Taggie! It was made from 5 1/2" squares, some fun ribbons, the owl pattern that I taught in the Share The Love Demos and some incredibly soft minky on the back ( which we now have in the shop ). The size you need for the minky is a 15 1/2 " square, and you will need the same out of the warm and natural batting. What a perfect little quilt for your little one! Hope you enjoy them! Lynn

Car Seat Cover for Kai

Just a quick post to show you the car seat cover I made for our little grandson Kai, who will be born soon. Some people have asked me where I get my labels from… they are from JoAnns. I hope to order my own some day.

This pattern was super easy and fun to make, we might have one displayed in the shop soon, I will let you know when it is there.
Hope you like it!

P.S. You might be wondering how in the world I got cute photos again (since you know my daughter Lauren is away at college )? Well, that is a good question, and the answer is… I have a wonderful YOUNG friend, who is talented in almost anything she tries to do and she was kind enough to help me out. Check out her blog, she really is amazing!      http://www.dandelionlipstick.com/
