OCTOBER DEMO CLASS

Hi everyone,

I know this is still a couple of weeks away, but it will be here before we know it.  I just finished the Demo so when you can, stop by the store to see
I am so happy to do something else for Thanksgiving, that just a holiday that seems to be rushed over each year. I really love Thanksgiving, and would love to get a few more things to decorate for it. So here is the sample!  This would look good on any table don’t you think?

Trick …learn how to make these cute and simple placemats.  Also, learn a fast and simple way to put on perfect mitered binding, and then machine sew it on.  Saving your hands for something better…like cooking a delicious Turkey dinner!

Or Treat…Guests will be impressed with your beautiful napkins that you made yourself. Plus, they won’t believe you know more than 12 ways to fold them!

So mark these dates on your calendar and I will see  you there!
Thanks,

You have got to try this one!

Mom's_quilt

I just finished this quilt that I made with the new Lake House panel. It is what some people call a Cheaters Quilt. I however don't like that name... and think it should be called the Quick and Easy Quilt or a Beginner Quilt.
I only had to add the outside border and then quilt it! It is so bright and colorful, I think it would be the perfect addition to any home. Great idea for a friend's birthday! So stop by the Quilt Shop soon and check it out!

Getting ready for October’s Demo

Well, I sewed a lot this weekend to get ready for my October Demo. The sample and bulletin board are up and ready at the store. I will try to get photos up for you soon.

I am excited because I focused on something for Thanksgiving again. I really think Thanksgiving isn’t a holiday that we put a lot of thought in for decorating, and I think that is sad because I love Thanksgiving! So if you already have stuffed pumpkins, and a your pumpkin table topper ready then you will be set to start on something new. Hope to show it to you by tomorrow, or go ahead and take a look in the store and let me know?

Creating is sooooooooooooooooo much fun, isn’t it?

Night dear friends!

Hope to see you there, if you had to miss it a couple of weeks ago!

Good night dear friends!

Lynn

It’s so late…

I had the opportunity tonight to do a Motivational Speech at the All Saints Lutheran Church in Bellevue. I had a wonderful time meeting more incredible women. I know they are the ones that asked me to speak, but I always seem to get more out of it than anyone else. I had planned to type of my talk tonight so that the ladies there would have a copy of it, like I told them I would this evening . But I am going to have to do it tomorrow… or today. It is late and as soon as I came home, I went straight to the hospital to see a friend of mine who just had a baby.

So I had to make a choice, write my talk down or go hold a sweet baby for 2 1/2 hours…seems like a no brainer to me. I will post my speech tomorrow.

Good night dear friends!

Fast and Easy strip quilting!

Ok everyone, you have to see the new Riley Blake FARM FRESH fabrics in the store, it is just too cute. I wanted to do a quilt in it and so this is what I created. What do you think? I just bought a yard of the brown polka dot and a yard and a quarter of the back ...which was a tan flannel. ( Flannel shrinks that is why you have to buy a little more and pre-wash and dry it first). Then I sandwiched the whole thing together. Next I cut 5 1/2 inch strips and 3  1/2 strips and placed them where I wanted them, sewed them down through all the layers at a quarter of an inch from the edge ( so I could get a little bit of the ragged look). Then added rick rack, and by the time you sewed on all your strips and rick rack, your quilt is already quilted and ready to add a binding on. Can you believe it is that quick, I love it!

Hope you have a chance to go see and maybe get some of this darling fabric.

I love creating new things, don't you?
